1.Opportunities for Youth

KAET, awareness campaign is targeted mainly on the Kenyan youth, through a carefully researched and focused Billboards operation, based on places such as rural and urban markets, where people gather regularly in their thousands. KAET Youth friendly programs such as Drama, music and sport activities are organized to sensitize the youth to positively respond to behaviour change and abstinence. The KAET organization project is geared towards empowering rural people, especially youth, to develop Positive attitudes to safer sex practices and reduces the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. Also promoting, informing them, educating and encouraging knowledge of their HIV status, hence enabling their commitment to abstinence and behavioural change. KAET has successfully trained 50 youth trainers to deliver behaviour change and abstinence messages to peer groups.

 

2.HIV/AIDS community orphan  care & support
The HIV/AIDS epidemic has created an orphan crisis in Kenya; its believed over 1.5 million Kenyan children under 14 have lost a parent or both to the epidemic. These children are left helpless, KAET is supporting 50 such Children through education support which includes scholastic materials e.g. Books, Pens, pencils, and school uniform.

 

3.Needy students scheme
In this scheme KAET identifies secondary going students who by lack of school are at the risk of dropping of school. Currently KAET in this scheme is currently supporting 50 needy students in Nairobi District, Nyanza and Western.

 

4.Support & care for people living with HIV/AIDS
A person living with HIV/AIDS needs our support, care and encouragement to be able to handle their situation better without resentment. In this category, KAET is helping 75 people living with HIV/AIDS through counseling, training in micro enterprise, small loans, and treatment.
